AT Art Competition
Here are some of Room 5's entries for the Auckland Transports art competition. We are hoping to see these on the wall of the brand new train station. They blow the art onto tiles and decorate the walls.
We love New Zealand's beautiful native birds such as the kereru, kiwi, tui, hawk, ruru and kakapo, they were our inspiration for this art. You will also notice the native trees including kauri, nikau, rimu, tī Kōuka and harakeke.
Hi my name is Theo from Kaniere School. My Favourite one is the Kiwi with the mountains,I like it because the picture looks good and it is quite simple. But I still like all of them. What did you use to make these pictures? Were is the train station going in Auckland?

I think your art was very amazing and creative, my favourite is probably the last picture and the third picture because the third has a lot of detail and the last has a lot of shapes and colours! What was your favourite and why? Keep up the good work room 5!

Hi I'm Louis from Kaniere School! I think your art is marvellous. My favourite is the Tui on the shapes. I love your all your art😀 do you often see these birds in the open or around your house's, or around your school? I like the Tui because it is nice and colourful. It would also look good on a rainbow, but I'm not saying you need to. Have a nice day!!

ReplyDeleteI like how you all got to do something and how you all got to do it as a class. Was it hard to decide the winner? I like the ones that have shading in them shading takes a lot of effort but the results are worth it. I think maybe next time you can do some thing like painting or watercolour. How long did it take to finish your drawings?
